AN ODE TO NUXE HUILE PRODIGIEUSE RICHE

I'm a soft skin obsessive and I consider moisturising both an essential and enjoyable daily task - my limbs must be soft and slippery at all times, much like a dolphin that glows from within. For silky skin with a satin finish, Nuxe is my new boy.

The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Riche (£32) is a multi-purpose dry oil for very dry skin. A French bodycare favourite for good reason, the formula is packed with botanical oils that work to repair, nourish and soften skin and hair. It comes in a beautiful matte bottle with a gold spray applicator, making it a fuss-free dream to use. Before going out, I apply it to bare legs and across my d├ęcolletage to highlight my collar bone for a Giselle-esque glow. I also run it through the ends of my hair to smooth and condition it, and layer it under body cream once a week. It feels deliciously indulgent and smells divine - I'm obsessed!

GOLD LIDS

Earlier this year, I was a (CHUFFED) bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding. I opted for an understated, golden-taupe eye look for which I went straight to Charlotte Tilbury where I picked up an Eyes to Mesmerise Eyeshadow Pot (£22) in Marie Antoinette and a Luxury Eyeshadow Palette (£39) in Golden Goddess. I used the cream eyeshadow all over my lids, which made for a dreamy, iridescent base, followed by all four shades within the palette - both are packed with pigment, and the shadows are like butter. Fun fact: CT used to create all the beauty formulations for Tom Ford. I'm big into her Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and Lip Cheat Liner in Pillow Talk too (see my previous post on them here). If you're looking for an indulgent beauty product, Tilbury is the way to go for gorgeous, glowy formulations that work wonders.

FRENCH MY FACE

French your own face with Toleriane Riche Soothing Protective Cream by Le Roche-Posay (£16), it's a deliciously (unfragranced) rich moisturising cream that softens and hydrates the skin making for a perfect, slap-ready base. Ideal for every day, bed time slathers and hangovers.

EAST END SNOB

Back in March, when payday was close yet still so far with zero chance of a beauty counter splurge, I struck gold at the Rimmel stand in Superdrug. The Exaggerate Lipliner in Eastend Snob 63 (£3.99) is a dead ringer for the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk (£16). Rimmel's offering brings a creamy texture with pigment that doesn't budge, it blends beautifully with lipstick but can also hold its own as a stand-alone shade. OH and did I mention it's less than four quid?
